A Washington state sheriff’s deputy was shot and killed within the line of responsibility Saturday night time after responding to a report of a disabled car blocking a roadway, officers stated.
Deputy Justin DeRosier, 29, had arrived on the scene northeast of Kalama round 10 p.m., the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Workplace wrote on Fb.
DeRosier was shot quickly afterwards and obtained medical care. He died at a close-by hospital, officers stated.

Different circumstances surrounding the capturing had been unclear. The sheriff’s workplace introduced it had discovered a “individual of curiosity” within the capturing and was following leads.
“Deputy DeRosier made a huge effect in his brief profession and can perpetually reside in our hearts and thoughts,” the sheriff’s workplace wrote.
